Flea Market finds, LB5 and a little Imperial

Now, I have pretty much stopped collecting, but every once in a while something just pops up that I have to have. I've been wanting to find a nice dress knife to carry with slacks, but I hadn't found one until today. Maybe eventually I'll luck into a GEC Conductor, but this little gem will work for now. Maybe as a base for modding by Glenn? It has great walk and talk, although the fit and finish leaves a bit to be desired. Is it silly to dress this up, akin to putting lipstick on a pig?

Then, I found this at a local pawn shop. Schrade LB5, $10. It looks as if it has been chewed by a carbide toothed beaver, and I have to drop the tip just a hair, but it locks up solid and without blade play. I think I might have unknowingly found a grail knife. Why did no one tell me about these knives?! Now, to find a mint/almost mint version! The search begins! I love this little thing. Like a small tank. It's going to be a good knife when I get it straightened out. Excuse the pictures. Hard to take decent pictures in an ambulance.

I really like the LB5, and carried one daily some years back. It is a great knife, and Schrade did a wonderful job with the H.T. on that stainless :)

Great score, Brian :)

Congratz on that nice ones, my friend!

Thanks Andi! Wie geht es dir? Hope your little guy is growing stark like his vater. Tell him grüb gott for me!

I know that isn't the right letter in grüb, but I don't have the right b looking letter in my phone keyboard.

I am the same way with the LB5. Only got my first a couple months ago and now have 3.

I'm most excited about the tuxedo to be honest! Mostly because I have the same imperial, that my now 5 year old found at a gun show two years ago, and has loved ever since, and often picks for my daily carry!! It's not usual for me to like MOTS covers on a knife, but they are so small that it works. It gets surprisingly sharp easily and keeps a fair edge! Nice scores.

My carry from Wednesday or Thursday of last week:
