I decided to go to the flea market yesterday and I stumbled upon these lost treasures at least I think (hope) they are. Recently I've been getting into some traditionals and gentlemans since I'm taking a break away from the tactical and hard-use stuff.

According to the guy whom I picked up the 3 bladed Schrade, he said the 58OT is very rare. Is that true? I got it from him for $20 so I was skeptical. I expected the guy to be like $50+ or something. I went home to do some light research and checked out ebay, and apparently the one that's there is going for almost $300. I know that's way too high. Did I really score at a stupid low price, or was what I paid fair? I love the knife nonetheless, and I wanted to share what I've found. :D

More interesting part is this unknown German knife. I do see posts about it on the forums, but the pictures weren't showing up so I can't really cross reference. The ones that do show up are the really fancy ones. Only thing stamped on there is "INOX SOLINGEN GERMANY" which I already know it just means stainless... I would love any info on it. I bought it on a hunch and a hope that it was a lost treasure. If it's not then I'm only out $6 :D When I put it on the stone, it took a beautiful edge definitely seemed like a good blade.

The Ulster USA 58OT is not a rare knife. Fairly common in used condition. For $20.00 yours is a decent buy. There are a very few of the 58OT found with bone handles and milled liners. Those ones are the rare ones. But even a bone example in mint condition would be a stretch at $300.00. The one on eBay for that price is pretty much ridiculous.
