Who wants to ask a moderator how we can make this happen?
I think one of the issues is that the exchange is the only place where we can see oeoples' feedback scores, and is the only place where we can contribute to those feedback scores. And I don't they knew, or maybe didn't care with rules being rules, that most of the people posting in the flea market already know eachother and have a history with eachother.
I agree. As I sell off some of my collection I find that Andy's knives get overlooked by many in the exchange forums (IMO).
I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I have read through every post you've made with Fiddleback in the title I've seen in the exchange, and anyone else's with it in the title as well, back last summer and autumn but no-one has had what I want and I'm only really interested in a couple of specific models in a couple of specific configurations.
I just stopped reading through them going into Christmas, because it wasn't the right time for me to be spending money on myself. And since Christmas I'm broke from Christmas for my daughters, son-in-law, and grandson... adult kid gifts, cookware sets and knife sets etc., are more expensive than childrens toys. Then missing a weeks pay with the flu right after Christmas sure didn't help, and so now I'm dead in the water for another month or two as far as personal purchases go.
But they may get looked over by the newer people to the forum, who weren't around in the early days to see Fiddleback Forge happen, and don't understand what it even is yet, or the effort and skill Andy puts into his knives. If I can manage to land one of the knives I want for the projects I have in mind, I'm going to see if I can do something about that lack of recognition.
I bought the midtech Kephart for that early last year, but that was a bad idea and didn't work. I should have put the review I did on the Esquire in the knife reviews and testing section, but I am so out of practice at all that, that I really didn't thing that through. But I have other ideas for the not so distant future, now that I have time to devote to such things again.
