Anyone own a hatchula 2 thinking of buying one looking for a chopper camp knife slash shelter builder. How's the weight for this type of work thanks for your help.

I have own one for a year and have found the knife to have a comfortable handle without any hot spots. The knife will handle shelter construction without any problems. The knife is heavy to carry on your side but works well carried in pack.Dylan does a good job with heat treat on 01 steel and stands behind his work if you have any problems. He enjoys hearing feedback on how well the knife performs.Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Park for the great info. Yeah I'm planning on it being a knife I carry in or attached to my pack so that won't be a problem. Do you feel the knife has enough weight for any chopping duties? Also you've not had any problems with the edge rolling or breaking? I've not heard this about Fletcher knives I was just curious. Thanks for your time I'm really excited to get one of these was thinking of getting a Fehrman final judgment but wow they ain't cheep.

You will not have any having problems chopping due to lack of weight and I have not any problem with the edge rolling or chipping. Most people that own this knife love the way it performs.USA MADE BLADES has the best selection of Fletcher knives and Whitty the owner talks highly of its craftsmanship.

We have a bunch in stock. I have used one and love it. Gave it to my business partner to use for a camping trip and he never gave it back. Heck he even had a sheath made for it (before Dylan made his own sheaths). All of Dylans handles feel great in the hand and the Hatch II is my favorite of all his knives. I did a youtube video about them a couple years ago but don't think I am aloud to put the link here. If you have specific questions or need some comparison photos just let me know.

Thanks again Park. Also Whitty thanks for your input I've narrowed my list down to 2 knives Fiddleback camp knife or the hatchula 2 I have 3 Fiddleback knives and like them all but the Fletcher is very interesting to me also. So now I've just gotta make a decision?

I own a Hatchula II and love it! It's a versatile camp/kitchen knife. I think the weight is just right. It's not as heavy as it appears. I have three Fletcher knives and the handles are the most comfortable of any knife I've used. The Hatchula II has become a personal favorite of mine.

The Fiddleback camp knife starts at $400 dollars without a sheath and Hatchulla II is around $286 dollars and comes with a sheath.
Thanks,
Michael

Well guys made up my mind gonna hit Whitty up on a hatchula and I think the izula damascus he has. Thanks to all for the help and suggestions I really do appreciate it. I don't have the foggiest idea how to post pictures so I'll do a review once I get the knife with no pics and let everyone know what I think. Thanks again!!!
