Dude this would have helped Soooooo much when i first started sharpening. I was one of the guys that scoured the internet to find out all the information I Could and allot of it was crap. This is really good info man. I think I will study it a little more to cut back on my time spent. I think mostly that is my OCD about having all my knives as sharp enough to split hairs.

I'm a push/puller but not a bread slicer technique-wise(i think you know what I mean) I am gonna see this weekend if I cant get a little faster. I'm probably about at 30-35 minutes as it stand right now but I go 1000,4000 and 8000 grit. if its terrible edge I start with the 220.

by the way you don't have an accent. but I guess I don't have an accent either and I am from South Dakota originally. Oh, Gosh at least I don't think I have an accent, don't you know.:D

Dang Slim, you finished my knife already?:D

Thanks for posting Dylan. I have and old set of stones that belonged to my Grandfather who was a cabinet maker by trade. Looks like I'll be dusting them off and having a go at them again!

"If it takes you more than 15-20 minutes to sharpen a knife.. you're doing it wrong." :D

Nice videos, brother.

Hey bro, what can I say. I don't bullshit anybody. My father always told me, "if at first you don't succeed, you did it wrong." hahaha.

Great videos. Thanks for sharing. BTW, could you show some pics of the sheath setup for your personal knife? That is the knife and rig I want...

Thanks for sharing! I recently bought this stone, so my arms will hopefully be hairless very soon...:D
