Flexcut Carvin' Jack

Yeah, I just got one of those too. I'm sending it back to the company I got it from because the locks don't hold at all on two of the blades (straight chisel, and straight gouge) and I don't like the way the main blade side sinks down low enough to prevent you getting your fingernail in the groove to pull them out. If you happen to push the lock as you close the blades in you'll find out what I am talking about.

Well, actually there is no groove to put a fingernail into because the blades go so low the groove for your fingernail disappears behind the body of the folder. Getting them back out is a pain to say the least. Flexcut says they are fully aware of the problem and their solution? Just don't do that.

Sorry, but for a $104.50 plus shipping knife I can't accept that. I think they have a good idea. But the engineering behind it is faulty. It needs to be refinded before I'll pay that kind of money for it.

Just my two cents worth.
