Does anybody remember these? They attached to the blade and you could open your knife with your thumb, I think they were made for the Buck 110.I wonder if they are still made,or something simular, I would like to have one for my LB-7. Thanks for reading.

Back in the early 1990s my daily carry was a Bucklite (a 110 with a plastic grooved handle) complete with a One Armed Bandit.

The last I knew, the One Armed Bandit was still sold by Smoky Mountain Knife works in two different sizes to allow for blade thickness. It works great.

No, i never knew about them. Back in the 90´ths i used to carry a Buck 110-like Puma. I used to loosen the pin, so the blade opens easier and used thump and finger for one hand opening.

I don't follow you. You're talking about the pivot pin on a rocker-bar locking folder, yes? How would forcing that "sideways" do anything but jam it?

Pumas (the lockbacks) from the late 70's and 80's were notorious for being able to pry the bolsters by pushing the blade against them without much force at all. It would in fact loosen up the action.

Then again you could tighten it back up by stepping on the front bolsters. :D.

Oh, okay. I would have thought the pressure of the rocker-bar (from the leaf spring) on the blade tang was a bigger factor than the pivot pin.

I still have one of the original Flickits, but I haven't seen one for sale in twenty years.

I have used the one armed bandits and I'd like to get a few more, but they have disappeared. I can't even locate the manufacturer on the computer. I heard a Chinese company is making a similar item now, but I don't know what it's called or where to find it. Anybody have any ideas of where to find them?

Exactly what part of me offering a picture of the product in question, and stating that it was available through SMKW, was at all like "being a smart ass?"

It just looks and sounds funny, "one arm bandit." By just reading your first sentence it sounds like a smartass remark, later on I realized that it was a real thing and not just a funny name.

Sorry, the one armed bandit is not a knife. It is a removeable stud made in two different sizes. It was used to facilitate one handed opening of knives like the Buck 110. I still use Buck 110's and 112's and would like to find a few more of these removeable studs. Thus my post.
