Flint and Steel Fire

Got a chance to hit the woods and enjoy some coffee, play with my flint and steel kit. The wonders of the spring woods is awesome, it never gets old. I really need a day to recharge my batteries.

More blue jay feathers. I good omen.

Found a nice stash of dry bark and stripped the inners for nice birds nest.

Fire was no issue

Time to get coffee on.

Even on a hot day fire is good!

Have you used the Pocket Bellows? How do you like it?
On one hand it seems frivolous but on the other you can really get some O2 down to the sweet spot of the fire without burning yourself or chocking/passing out from the smoke.

Yes I have used mine and I love it. I should have used it in the video that way you could see it. I think cover it in a my Fire Kit video on my channel. Works well! Of course you can make one from a car antenna or for a non collapsible version and arrow shaft.

Very cool post man! We are still working on easier techniques so far, but I will be working on flint and steel fore starting with my daughter later on in the autumn when the humidity is lower...as well as the temps, and fore craft is more fun
