I have always loved the Flint Edge line. Hell I have posted it on here before, but I'm going to do it again. So if you have any, axes, hatchets, whatever, lets see em. Enjoy.

Thanks!

I love the Flint Edges too. I probably use these two axes more than any others in my collection. My past favorite for using was an old Plumb DB, But I've pretty much put it aside for these two. I still love the Plumb because it was inherited from my Grandfather. It's now more of a keeper for me.

Here's a 3.5 lb Flint Edge.

This is a 2.5 lb cruiser and was my first real axe after I inherited the plumb from my Grandfather.

I seem to have time to post more now that I'm furloughed. Kind of like retirement only w/o the money.

Here's one I got for a good price from an online seller who said it would make a good doorstop.
Not banged up at all:

The weight is 3 pounds 2 ounces. Sparrow has it now, maybe she will post a picture of it being put to work.

Steve, a gnome whispered in my ear that that axe hasn't been officially hung yet, and might need a little more filing in the zone between 1/2" and 1 1/2" up the edge. This gnome was quite detailed and thorough in his description, which I appreciated a lot.

I have a double bit that I'm refinishing now. Should have it done in a couple days I'll be sure to post it. Cool thread.

Here is my only flint edge, just finnished it up today :) I really like this axe I think I'll hang on to it.

Nice work Mike.

You'll be very happy with the performance of that Michigan pattern DB Flint Edge. You did a great job of hanging it. It's important to get the cheeks of the haft inside the eye width if you will use it for splitting. Otherwise you knock the cheeks off when the head goes through the wood. Outstanding work and great photos. I'm really impressed with the work you have posted.

It's the original handle, I should have taken before pics it was rough and splintered in a few spots. Thank you very much for the compliments. It's good to hear and makes me glad that I can share with you guys.

I have some. Can't help but like TT's and Kelly's.
The two in the middle are a boy's axe and a cruiser.
