Chip flint, or flint chip, I am not sure of the name. SW Indian style knives, are any of those made with BG42 or are they all 420HC? Any production models made with 154CM or ATS34?

SHS -

All the Chipflint knives are made with 420HC.

There are other production knives made in Sandvik 13C26, 154CM, and S30V, but not in chipfint. The custom shop still offers BG-42 blades on custom ordered 110's, but I think you have to call Buck to get that option (I don't think it's listed on the ordering website.

chip flint is generally done on full thick blades..
not on ground ones
but some were done on the top flat back bone of the knife..
if you realy want it on a s30v
you can send a knife to Leroy Remer he can chip flint the backbone also..
david yellowhorse had done Native Steel on s30v two times i know of
