There are probably a hundred pro's and cons and nobody would ever post anything if they knew everything, so OPINIONS is what I'm looking for.
I think there would be great benefit to putting the pocket clip on the other end of the samd side it's on, over the locking mech. Maybe it's just because its what I'm used to, but it seems more ergonomic for the whole pulling it out of the pocket and getting it open process. The only thing I can think of is that it might be strange when holding/using the knife. I'm sure alterations to the shape of the clip would fix any discomfort during use.
ONE thing that will probably curdle some folks blood is that I cant stand the rope that came on the end. It's like a $300 flag sticking out of your pocket saying SWIPE ME! So, I guess this topic would only apply to those who dont use the rope. Before anyone sends back HATEmail, please just try this:
hold your seby (mine is the small standard) by the hinge with your forefinger and thumb with the clip on the thumb side. Do a pulling out of your pocket motion... as you pivot the closed handle into your palm (or after you pivot it into your palm) push the blade out. The whole motion done swiftly kinda pulls the blade and the haddle out of eachother... like the force is on both at the same time... it goes rght in the proper place in the hand, ready for use...
It seems like the whole motion of getting the sebenza out and ready "as is" takes a few motions INCLUDING scooching your fingers to the proper place on the handle BEFORE even being able to open the blade... Its like you lose your hold for a second.
Any thoughts?
