Oddly enought my wife was playing with my CRKT RippleII today and said she wanted a knife that works like the ripple. She basically wants a smaller flipper that doesnt look like mine. By that she means NOT Blue, Grey, Black and silver. My initial thoughts are kershaw products like a chive or leek but I am wondering what other options are out there for a smaller lightweight flipper. I have my own tastes so that is all I follow and what she is looking for is nothing I really ever look at. I guess my price limit would probably be $50ish so help a guy get his wife interested in knives here :D

Get her the new bladeforums Skyline coming out. It will be blue.

Beyond that, get her a Zing or Groove by Kershaw.

Support forums and get the skyline, it's worth it. The Cryo is coming soon, think a "poor man's Hinderer". The Zing is also coming out in SS soon. The Piston and Knockout look like great choices as well. Flipper-wise I think that Kershaw is the best.

I Would Go Kershaw.

I Think She Would Like The Smaller JYD 1720.

Other Than That:
Skyline
Leek
Scallion
Chive

Or Get Her A Ripple Of Her Own?

Another vote for the Leek, lots of different color options. You can even get blems from Kershawguy.

i have had my zing for a while and its a great knife, my gf actually wants it so im going to give it to her when my enlan comes in the mail.
The zing is a super easy to use flipper with a great lock up and good blade steel.
Id 100% recommend it.

Yeah after checking around definitely going to be a kershaw as i originally thought...she likes the looks of the rainbow models so thinking a chive...i hate recurves and she handled my framelock leek and said it was kind of big for her

just make sure she knows its assisted and make sure thats okay with her. The chive and leek are both speedsafe so you gota check with her on that cause my gf doesnt like speedsafe it scares her.

I had to do a double take when I read the title to this thread. I thought it should be in The Exchange as a "Trade" thread.

Seriously, a Ripple ,Ripple 2 or Eros should be fine. From experience I can tell you that an assisted opener may not be the best choice. The women that have used my Kershaw assisted openers got a little nervous when the blades seem to open by themselves.

This is starting to bother me... BladeChick, why do you capitalize the first letter of every word?
Sorry if I'm coming off as kind of a grammer-nazi.

My wife had no problems with the snap of AO on my leeks and she was really enamored with the rainbow kershaws so I just won a rainbow chive on the big auction site. I was actually thinking of the walmart ripple since I cant even imagine what she will use it for but alas she wants a "girly" knife and I think she wants to play with it more than anything. Unfortunately for me she has grown out of the everything must be pink stage and does not like blue, black, gray or silver like colors so I was extremely limited in my selections.

Thanks for the recomendations folks perhaps I will be revisiting this in a week or so...who knows.
