Is anyone aware of a traditional looking flipper style folder? Something like a Buck 110/112 or Case Trapperlock or Mid Folding Hunter, etc. with a flipper-deployable blade?

I think Buck custom shop offers assisted opening versions of the 110.

I personally don't see the point in them, but a couple companies make universal fit studs for people that for whatever reason want one hand opening.

"Flipper" and "Traditional" matings are incompatible.
Excluding friction folders, traditionals have a back spring or as in the case of the Buck 110/112 and other back or mid-lock designs8, a lock bar riding the blade tang.
I can't see a flipper that has a spring rubbing on the tang hard enough to stop the flip when you're trying to open it being a very practical development or the knife a good "flipper".
Can you?

Here's mmy custom 112 in an auto. It's not a flipper but you know as close as I think your gonna get. Buck makes the 110 in an auto you can buy of the shelf

This Puma SSG might be what you are thinking of. It looks sort of traditional. Delete the pocket clip to make it more so. Of course, you still have the flipper and the thumb stud.

More than equal to the demands of modern EDC.

Look for the rack of blister packs at your more sophisticated big box stores.

Agreed, there are some very good 'flipper' styles coming out of traditional patterns.

I don't know what the view would be here, whether they are seen as imposters or not, given they often re-emerge as framelocks....!?

For me, perhaps something a little closer to the marque, are thumb flippers that operate on double detente - so they have no lock and are still legal in many places now where lockers are not.

I have some already, though not following any traditional pattern (as yet) and I suggest their presence is going to grow...

I believe this would check a lot of boxes on what your looking for. However it definitely isn't in the same price point as a raguler run Buck or Case xx knife. These sell new for $270 but there made by some of the top production knife makers Italy has to offer as well as M390 Blade Steel and a titanium frame.

Enrique Pena makes several custom iterations of front flippers in traditional patterns, but they are outside your budget. I think some of the models are available made by Reate, which should retail at a price closer to your limit.
