Flipper system

I'm looking for a decent folder with a Flipper system for around $75.00. I already have a Kershaw RAM and love it. I guess I want to expand my taste in knives. Any suggestions?

Pretty much all of Kershaw's flippers are excellent. If you want something beefier than the RAM, the JYD II CB is a fantastic knife. If you want something a bit smaller than the RAM, both the OD-1 and Zing are excellent choices.

I've found that after owning a RAM, flippers that still use a liner or frame lock are just not as satisfying because of the pivot tension. There aren't many out there that flip as fast and smooth as a RAM. Great knife.

You beat me to it. You won't find many flippers that behave like the RAM unless you get an assisted opening knife. The OD-1 has a linkage system and is pretty neat but the RAM is the best flipper I have come across.

The CRKT Suma is great flipper "bang for the buck" I'm very impressed with it lately, but if you have a RAM, its going to be pretty hard to improve on that. The one thing I like on the Suma is the wicked detent they used, it lets you really fire it hard, harder than any other flipper I've used, but its been a while since I used a RAM so my memory might be off, all I really remember was how smooth that thing was.

Another vote for the OD-1

Best folder under under $40

I would say the kershaw ener-g. it is a ton of fun, and the most interesting flipper you will ever meet.

+1

Also, it would be very worth your while to check in the exchange and see if Kershawguy has any Ti Junkyard Dog left still. Awesome knife.

Has anyone handle the OD2? Is it worth the extra $30.00 for the OD1?
The OD-2 is much smaller than the OD-1 -- far too small for my liking. IMO, the OD-1 is definitely worth the extra money.

Update: Just took a quick comparison photo.
