I have found a wonderful recipe for crow. I guess with all the crow I have had to eat, it was just a matter of time before I nailed it. The latest plate:
A couple of weeks ago I posted a rant against the people that were flipping Game Wardens. After reading it I realized that it was very insulting even though I did not mean for it to come off that way. I was aiming for humor, but missed the mark, as it was not as funny as it was condescending.
The fact that a person can take one of these knives and immediately sell it for a great profit is nothing but a testament to the inherent value of these knives that we in this forum love.
Looking back, what I wrote came from a cornhead who was jealous because he missed the boat on the Game Wardens. My apologies to all who were offended.
BTW - One of the guys in this forum who I was ranting against sold me a GW at cost!

Its true there are some who try to flip but if you look on the exchange right now there are some offering Busses at great prices. Im tempted even though those arent the one I want.

It's not just a knife, it's an adventure.;)

Some folks are trying to make a $ or 10, but some just want to spread the INFIction. This is a great group, and I hope you stick around.

I just received an SFNO, bought proxy for me and sent with the message asking that I pay when I can. Cost + shipping. He could have made some decent $ off that blade. But here you find some rare friends and real Hogs.

Congrats on your new INFI!

+1 on that!

I find the verbage of "flipping" seems to overly carry with it some sort of bad or sleezy connotations. Although in some cases it might be well deserved ....

However, I have all to often found myself in the position of after in good faith aquiring a new blade, another pops up that I would like more or once having and holding a new knife finding that it is not for me. And I have this MRS Partner that works very hard to controll my activities..... So my economic universe tends to be more limited and restricted - therefore after getting a new one I find myself needing to sell it - to move onto one that might better fit me.

So there have been times when my pattern might seem to be "flippent" ;) but hey its about what I want and not some wierd desire to please others. If it bothers them then they can send me a small fortune to spend and hold - then everyone can be happy :)

Dave, I am glad it worked out for you so well!! Enjoy that fattie  Now with all this spirit of helping a brother out that this thread has created...who's got a nice SHBA or BAIII or the like and wants to flip her my way for close to cost :D  ;)

Hey David, not sure if I caught that thread but I definitely respect you coming back in and saying you believe you were wrong. I have participated in those types of discussions myself to some degree but we're all friends here and that stuff gets worked out in each case it seems. Often it is when someone steps up as has been done for you . Can't blame you for being hungry to get a warden either. It's a brilliant little design.

Congrats on your Warden :)

Z'up homey? It's good to come clean around these guys just don't let 'em get to friendly cause you know they are only after one thing, YOUR INFI! Next time I'm zoomin' past Wedgefield on through the Mighty Manchester Woods I'll hit the horn as I pass by Linda's before I hit Paxville. I used to love to hit the RR crossing on my scoot when I was younger, Wheeee!
