A few weeks back I remember seeing some comments about how it's tough to flip open a Sebebza. Hopefully, these comments will be helpful to someone. Caution - I do not advocate that anyone do the following. I'm simply sharing my experience (so much for my liability disclaimer  ). I got my first Sebenza, small classic, a few weeks ago and at first it was tough getting used to the thumb stud. Pushing it open was difficult and required just the right angle. I started trying to simply break the blade free from the handle with a quick flip of the thumb (like when you snap your fingers) without trying to open the blade entirely. Once I got comfortable with that, I coordinated that movement with a quick flip of the wrist. Now I find it very easy to flip it open quickly with one hand. The main issue is making sure to have a good grip on the handle. I do this be having my middle finger lay along the grip, pushing it against the meaty part of the palm at the base of the thumb (the thenar eminence). What a great little f#$%ing knife! I carry it everywhere. It's unobtrusive, classy looking, yet the blade and lock-up are definitely meant for business. I just wish I could get the clip turned around for tip down carry, which I prefer for drawing. I called the company and was told they don't offer that configuration or modification :grumpy: . Oh well, it won't stop me from carrying this little bugger
