Flitz ok on blade/bushings?

I have a few used knives coming my way and was thinking of polishing the blades and bushings with flitz. Is flitz ok to use on these parts? For reference one knife is a satin BM 710 D2 steel, BM 550, and PM 2. I'm pretty sure the bushings are bronze/phosphur in the BM's if that matters. Appreciate the feedback in advance!
 
I use flitz to polish the innards on all my folders-- brightens the blade as well.
 
Never put any abrasive in the pivot area of a knife. Yes- Flitz is abrasive.
The abrasive imbeds itself into the wear areas and causes excess wear and galling. It is impossible to remove it, as it is in the metal.
