Flitz or Metal Glo

I'm trying to decide between these two polishes. Can anyone give me any input in their pros and cons? I'm sure that they are pretty much the same, but I just wanted some feedback from my fellow Bladeforums members. ;)

Thanks.

Without a doubt Metal-Glo, with it's hint of strawberry, tastes much better, but it just doesn't get my teeth as white as Flitz does. Don't know why, but that's my experience. YMMV.

I've been using flitz for around 8 or 9 years now (can't remember exactly how long) and I couldn't do without it. I have considered trying out the Metal-Glo, but when you already got something that works, it's hard to try something else.

MetalGlo for sure. It puts a beautiful polish on any metal and also adds a protective coating that lasts a while. It does wonders for the wifes SS handled Harpy. Both the blade and the handle are brighter and smotther that from the factory. I load my knife strop with it and it does wonders on that as well. I keep my razor strop dry.

This past weekend at a gun show, I picked up a couple of small tubes of Flitz and Metal Glo. So far, I've only used the Metal Glo and it works GREAT. I do plan on trying out that Flitz, as well, I just haven't gotten around to it.

Thanks for all of the input.:)

Maybe I just got a knockoff tube of Metal-glo or something...

I've used Flitz and Metal-glo. Flitz, as far as I can tell, is an absolutely amazing, fantastic polish; I have never had a problem polishing ANYTHING with it, and it doesn't damage bead blasted finishes, satin finishes, etc. It is, and this is good (but you might be looking to use it for something other than what I do), not an abrasive, or a very, very fine one if it is.

Metal-glo is pretty much poisonous (presumably) toothpaste. I've yet to have it work on anything I've tried to use it for. I only keep using it because I bought a large tube and I'm hoping it'll work on SOMETHING.

Ive always wondered about the claim that Flitz isnt an abrasive. If its not, how does it polish anything? Chemically? I am 99% positive it IS abrasive, though probably less than most polishes. I have used it on so many things for a lot of years and like someone else said, if it aint broke... I cant tell you how many happy hours ive spent with Flitz, my dremmel tool, and a felt polishing wheel, yes, im easily amused, and polishing things can be strangely addictive... :)
