I've been a member of this board for a while now and I don't think I've ever seen the amount of Busse knives for sale that are posted in the for sale section right now. Are people just over-extended? Are they trying to pay for the latest Ganzaaa purchase? What's going on?

My answers:

Are people just over-extended? Yes
Are they trying to pay for the latest Ganzaaa purchase? Yes
What's going on? See above :D

GAnZZA WAS KILLER.

That is the only reason I parted with some of my treasures.

But this glut is putting downward price pressure on some nice knives.

I sold Six knives and Lost a few bucks on each in order to sell them fast.

But on the upside I covered my Ganzza Money and have some liquid cash as well!

I'm afraid that all of the above, plus the shop's ability to increase output has something to do with it. Supply has a nasty habit of catching up with demand :-)

There was a run of very high prices and it seems to have ended.

BusseCollector hit on a few reasons.

Another is that some people seem to have thought you could buy a FBM and just turn around and sell it for 20% more than you paid. Well you really can't; at least not while they are still being offered from the Busse Store. Same with MilGanza ADs and MRS that are going to sit there while everyone just buys them from Busse.

On the other hand post a FSH SE. or a SHA-1 SE, or a Proto on the exchange and they wouldn't be there for an hour.:D

Lower prices are a good thing because we can move knives between each outher without wondering if the SHBM is really worth $1,500 or is it just a crazy market and really a $700-800 knife.

I agree with pretty much everything that's been stated...

It may very well be that the supply has not just caught up to demand, but exceeded it.

So the solution is simple really... increase demand.
Go forth and spread the word INFI Brethren! :D :D

I agree. We need to find as many new addicts as possible. We need to keep filling in the bottom of the INFI pyramid :D

In the last 3 months, I have dragged two co-workers into the depth of Busse Affinity. Oink on!!

I crossed over two young Jeddi to the dark side at a wedding two weeks ago. One is really into tacticool,.. tritium in his G10 handled, titanium liners, but blade made of 420c lol

The key to secondary pricing right now is the abundant supply from the factory.

Jerry is bringing it.

If everyone has their dough in the new offerings, then no one is going to bust their butts snagging a secondary market FBM.

i think Jerry needs to supply us with business cards, or something similar to Tilley Hat "Brag Tags" :p
