Nothing too special about this one, Im still making a lot of noob mistakes and still learning. This is my second try at a wood handle though so I went with a pretty cheap material. .25 cents for the piece I cut to make both scales. Compressed bamboo flooring tile. I'm actually pleased with how it looks and feels. Has some little voids in it but oh well.
I appologize for the bad cell phone pic. Its dark in my house and its dark outside too :(

Just tell me that you are a woman and I'll be ok. :D Otherwise, CUT THAT THUMB NAIL!

About the handle..... bamboo is great, and your work looks pretty decent. Perhaps more finishing sanding so the pins look softer and blend with the wood a bit more. Hard to really see the shape, perhaps a photo of a downward spine type shot would help.

GL, keep at it!

it really could use a lot more sanding but I'm done with it. Ready to try the same template again. Gave this one to the wife for gardening use.
The shape is like this.

It is really good one.
I like it and want to have this.
Can you yell me the source from which i can found same one.

I really like the profile of this one. If bamboo is tough enough for flooring and cutting boards it should be fine for knife handles. A little more sculpting to the handle would have been nice. But if it feels good in YOUR hand then that's great.

Bamboo flooring is incredibly tough and stable.....Tom Maringer used it on his take-down pieces for the handle under the wire-wrap. ;)
