Hello, all...new user here, and need a question answered, please! I just ordered a bowie fixed blade from an internet provider, recieved an email saying my order was not filled because the item was "restricted to billing zip code", whatever that means..I live in Central Florida, Volusia county. The knife is(was) a Bowie,12.5" overall..not especially huge...does anyone know if it's against the law here to have (semi)large fixed blades shipped in? There is no mention in the latest wepons law on knife shipping.

Some comapnies adapt policies that are more stringent than the law- either to to percieved laws, precieved liability or that some city has some law that they are afraid somebody might violate.

I recently had a similar problem with Sportsman's Guide. I wanted one of their Military Mora's but they would not ship to CT despite it being prefectly legal. What did I do? I took my business elsewhere.

Thanks, MP...I also did that, ordered nearly same product on another site..so far no alerts about restrictions...but it did p**s me off. I still don't understand what they meant, tho'..

BTW, it was Sportsman's Guide.
Well that is interesting:jerkit: (NOT). That is the same place that I had a problem buying my mora from- and interestingly, the company I ended up buying it from was in Florida and bought them from Sportsman's Guide.
