Far as i know u cant conceal any fixed blade or folder over 4 inches without a LTC. i think you can carry it openly though

There are multiple threads on the subject. A search would prove fruitful.

Pay attention to the advice regarding the difference between the letter of the law and what will attract attention and cause problems for you. Also, realize that Florida like many states varies from locale to locale, and don't overlook local regulations.

Florida is weird when it comes to knife laws. There is no law that states you can not carry a knife "open carry" in plain view. However, you can not conceal carry anything other than "a common pocket knife." A lot of people say that you can't carry a folder over four inches but that also isn't a real law. That's just how some people chose to view a common pocket knife.

However, if I where you I would check the local city/county you're moving to because knife laws can vary depending on location.

Edit: Mr. Thurman has some good advice, it certainly can't hurt to give them a call.
