Florida knife laws

I have taken an interest in collecting auto knives and I live in the state of Florida. I've searched the archives and what I've read concerns me. It would appear I will be breaking the law if I even own an auto knife let alone carry one.

On the other hand, perusing the various dealers I note that several are in Florida. Is there a caveat for dealers? I dislike breaking the law (needlessly) and so have looked into getting a concealed weapon license (allows me to carry a knife but not an auto), a FFL license (doesn't appear to help but could be handy I guess), and/or some kind of professional business license.

Is there a Dealer license for the state of Florida that allows me to buy, sell and own auto knives?

An interesting aside is a couple of shows I attended recently. The Knifemakers Guild show in Orlando and a small Gun and Knife show. At the G&K show some dealers displayed auto knives and some didn't until I asked if they had any. There was even a dealer displaying Microtech OTF knives.

Thanks for any info....JC III
