I'm going to be in FL next week so I need advice from all you local Floridians. Are there any interesting places to look at knives between Miami and Key West? Also what are the concerns about folder carry in this area?
I can't wait to get out of Minnesota had to shovel a 3' high snow drift from my garage door this AM.

Thanks

While there is very little left in Miami there is a nice store in Broward (Ft. Lauderdale) at 441 and Commercial avenue (Guns and Knives - tel. 954-735-8829), They usually stock a big selection of Benchmade and Spyderco, Chris Reeves, Greco, and Marbles, Microtec, Rekat, and Randall, with a good assortment of the more common stuff, all spiced with a hundred or so custom knives.

That's about 20 miles north of Miami. If you want to go a little further North, Kellan Knives, has a shop on 902 S. Dixie Hwy, in Lantana Florida tel. (800)390-6918 -lots of cool Nordic knives to play with, and a few custom blades thrown in for fun.

Have a great vacation the weather has been excellent this week.

If you happen to be in Miami on March 10-11th stop by the Coconut Grove Convention Center for a local Gun and Knife show (tel. 407-656-4326 for show organizer)

A Miami resident here. The answer is no. The reason, I don't know why knifemakers keep away from this area. If you hear of anything, though, let me know. I've been here all my life and the only way I can get cool knives, which I collect, is through the gun&knife shows and the internet. On the other hand, my Concealed Weapons License allows me to carry any non-self propelling knife concealed.
