Florida Knifemaker's Assoc. Show

I went to the Florida Knifemaker's Association, Show, yesterday. It was held in Orlando, Florida. Had a good time and met some real nice folks and excellent knifemakers. This is a young organization, which is highly deserving of our support. Hope to see you at next year's show.

Ricky Fowler was there - he came all the way from Mississippi. A great guy with some fine, resonably priced, blades. His ads are frequently seen in Blade Magazine. I highly suggest you check out his blades. He will be at the Blade Show West.

Happy trails...

Hansen,

I was also at the show this Saturday; and your right on about Ricky Fowler. He had a large 50+ knife display with a diversity of blade patterns and some very exotic handle materials (eg. Zebra and Giraffe bone).

Also notable were Les Robertson with an assortament of very impressive knives (Brend, Brend, Brend, Brend, - ok some were not brend but equally impressive), Russ Klingbell with a sample of his Oriental Spear point ala pg 130 in the 1999 February Blade [sold long before I got there and I got there very early], and Roger Gamble with some very nice liner locks.

I'm already looking forward to the next one.
