I'm back from my (first of many) serious Florida trip. I had a fantastic time.
It turned out I didn't have a lot of need for a knife on this trip, though I did grip my Pepper Shaker when a bull shark swam near me while snorkeling in Looe Key.
My ladyfriend liked the Pepper Shaker, by the way. Looks like I may be sharing my Busse knives....

I took a few decent pictures, such as this:
and this:
But, frankly, I didn't get much photography done.
Part of the reason why not is because the mosquitoes in the swamps during the wet season are so fierce. Here's a picture of the mosquito bites on my back after an hour of shooting in The Everglades, despite the fact that I was wearing a tightly woven long-sleeved shirt and tightly woven long pants (out in the heat of the tropical sun and the humidity of the swamps), and was totally slathered with DEET:
The main reason why I didn't get much photography done is that I was busy falling in love, instead:
