I rarely if ever make the same thing twice. I made the first Flying Knife last year and after a while I was persuaded make another.
This one is identical in shape to the original but the Corian bolster and support arm has a bigger texture of particles
and the spots on the body are now in two sizes rather than one. These spots were created by filling random holes running the whole length of each scale with a paste made from clear epoxy and irridescent womens glitter make-up. The wings are adjustable as they are held on by strong neodymium magnets.
As with the first the slotted blade is O1.....the body , bolster and base are Corian
Striped decorative sandwich is made from pewter and ebony. And the wings are Starling Wings........from Veniard here in the UK who supply fly tying materials.
Stand metals are stainless steel and brass and the base is also Corian.
Hope you like it
