Ok, so recently I posted a few issues that I was having with getting some micarta handles for my Becker knife.
I was a bit agitated about the situation and should have probably taken a breath before posting.
Saintscutlery is working everything out with me. There were a few issues that complicated things.

1 the order was placed for me by someone else, so when I contacted him he couldn't even find my order.

2 the BK-5 apparantly has a slightly different handle shape, not drastic but enough that the scales don't always line up right.

3 I thought they were being made in a mini factory when in reality the whole operation is a one man show.

Right after I got my second set, and they didn't fit I sent a not so nice email.
Dispite the tone of my email being very pissy, Saint was polite and gracious in his response. I understand now why his feedback rating is so high.

If you get a chance to deal with him, take it.
Just keep in mind that it may take a little time and communication because he's making them all himself.

Just felt like I had to post this incase anyone got the wrong idea from my earlier posts.

Thanks for taking the time to correct yourself. Most people I know would probably just let it get swept under the rug.

P.S. Sweet integration of a pun into your thread title.

Sorry to go kinda off topic here but what is the point of removable scales? All I get from this is the fact that they are obviously easier to ship but is that it? I have NOTHING AGAINST THEM I'm just wondering why thats all.

Duh, where do you keep your survival kit?!?!

One good point of them is letting the user swap them out if they decide they don't like them and want to try something else.

My survival kit goes in the handle of my awesome 420 stainless steel survival knife! Duh!

I love that commercial. It seems to get around on these forums lately, like the Paris Hilton of BF.

We should do a satire of it with Becker's instead of that POS haha.

Hmmm... That would be funny. The people in that comercial cutting down the tree with the wire saw and someone taking the BK-4 to it and taking it down in one swipe...

Thanks for noticing..lol

I figure if I'm not afraid to say that someone else is in the wrong, then I need to be able to do the same for myself.

You are a good man, Silverthorn..

While 90% of the folks here act like you do in such situations, many folks do not.

Kudos for being fair minded and putting yourself in Saint's shoes..;)
