alright, everyone, i need some advice.
i'm flying out to colorado with my family in a few days, and we'll be in colorado, new mexico, arizona, and utah for about 2 weeks. now, here's my question: assuming that i am not going to check any luggage (i'll have a carry-on and a backpack), is it still safe enough to attempt to bring my 42?
thanks, all.
peace.
aleX.

edited to remove pointless list. :barf:

My Wife just came up with the solution!!

Buy a new BM42 HERE in Colorado!!

Then you'll have one while you're out here, and then you can mail it back to yourself when you leave.

If you can't afford two, sell yours first, and then use that money to get one here.

I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT try to "slip one" past airport security.

They can pick up titanium just as easily as steel.

I would have to agree with that. Bring it in your checked luggage, even coming into the US, and it'll probably be okay. But bring it in your carry on and they will seriously bust your %^#. There real tight on that stuff. You could try asking them to hold it on your flight like they do guns, but I've heard a lot of those "get lost" during the flight.

As long as you check your bags it will be O.K. As long as its legal in the state you are traveling. I just traveled from Ohio to Tennessee to Arkansas. Just dropped it into my suitcase and everything was fine.:)

Definately do not attempt to slip into carry on luggage! It could end up with you in JAIL. Airlines do not like knives or guns on their planes, there are very serious penalties for doing so especially if the blade has serrations. If you do get by them consider yourself very lucky.
