Flying with a tobbaco pipe??

Got a question for you pipe smokers...

Can you bring a pipe in your carry on bag?

I ask this because the way they come apart for cleaning. The stem could be looked at as an effective SD weapon......

It shouldn't be detected and you could minimize the possibilities of loosing it.

I have never had any problem flying with one of my pipes and a pouch of tobacco in my pocket. Only comment I got once was a male TSA guard complimented how nice looking my Nording was.
