On Monday i will be flying from New York to Utah and I want to bring 1-2 knives and the choices would be a Leatherman Charge, Leatherman Micra, Wenger EvoGrip 18 and a Kershaw 3 inch folder, anybody have any idea about laws or advice on what to bring?

The thing you would least Miss if it was stolen.

Put them in your lugage that you are going to check. Wrap them up in your clothes, so they are hard to find and steal.

Like Sides says, bury them in your checked luggage and you'll be fine as far as the flying is concerned. As for what your choice is to bring, just make sure it's kosher where your heading for carry.

Put them inside of an old, smelly pair of running shoes and tuck your gym socks in behind them. That should discourage most of the TSA goons. :D

Get a good solid well made suitcase with a good lock with your ID clearly displayed on its exterior. Burry the knives deep inside the suitcase, and you may want to strap them in too. It will help to discourage thieves, and if security wants to check the contents they will flag your luggage and call you out, rather than digging around poorly or non locked baggage without your consent.
