Guys,
I'd like to get a portable FM radio for the kitchen - just a radio, but I'd like one with a Stereo headphone jack so that I can record from the radio to mini disc.
Any advice?
I've looked at Sony and Roberts, but most seem to only have a mono jack. Do you know of a model that has stereo-out?
A boring thread! Sorry.

There are two ways you can go. Either get a stereo boombox -- if it's stereo it'll have a stereo jack, and some of them are pretty small -- or else get a walkman-style belt radio with no speakers. They all come with stereo headphones. If you go that route you still have the option of using speakers; you can get a little pair of speakers with a 9v battery (or plug in a power brick) to boost the power and plug it into the headphone jack. Sound isn't bad, but you'll get better speaker sound from a decent size boom box.

Wait, I just reread your post and saw you want to record with it. You're not going to get great-sounding recordings from a little portable radio.... I don't know, maybe you're not as picky about sound quality as some of us, but I think you'll notice the difference compared to recordings you make on a decent home sound system. A good-quality boombox can make pretty good recordings if the reception is good, but it shouldn't be a small boombox or a cheap one.
