Greetings
If you dont know what and FNG is just ask some one who has served in the military LOL. Any way i have always wanted to make knives but never had the time. Well i am retired now and do! I am going crazy to find out how two get the pins to fit so nicely on wood grips. I know how to glue them but have net been able to find anything other than how to glue then on YT. I looked and corby fasteners and the question remains how to get so flush with the wood handle. do i just sand them down and they will be flush? any help would be greatly appreciated!

My advice would be to use files first as they are better at removing both the wood and the pin at the same rate. Get the pins flush with files and then sand to refine the surface. If you start sanding too soon (or with too coarse grit) you may end up with the pin being rounded and proud of the surface. As Deadboxhero recommends hard backing will help, but I would still say file first.

Agreed, saw off excess with hacksaw, file flush, sand with medium to fine sandpaper on a hard backing (micarta works great).
