FNG working with Titanium - yeah, I got questions!

I just purchased a few strips of Titanium stock and am planning on making a few neck knives from them. Pray for me.

Ok....here's the questions:

1) Given the fact that Titanium doesn't hold an edge well and seems to file pretty easily, why do I keep hearing that it is hard to work with? What am I missing?

2) In a recent post (somewhere around here) someone mentioned that Chris Reeve "touches" the tip of the locking bar on the Sebenza with a torch to harden the wear point. Can and/or should this be done to the edge of the knife? What about after sharpening?

3) What is the one thing I should do when working with Ti?

4) What is the one thing I shouldn't do when working with Ti?

I am going to borrow from my FrankenWoo and use some of the features there to base my first few on. I even have a name picked out for the model already!

Thank you all in advance!

Dont Breath the fume's they will make you sick to your stomach ,dont use your best belt's they will be your worst in miniute's
if you catch some of the cutting's on fire dont douse them with water use dirt just think of it as alluminum with an attitude ,that about cover's it other than its about the same or a little worse than 300 series stainless steel and gum's like alluminum

I did not realize Ti was so dangerous.
Thank you.

And thank you to the well known, humorous knife maker who e-mailed me all the tips too.
