Hello everyone. My name is Derek. Been a member of the Yard for some time. Been lurking around BF a bit and decided to get on. Im cheap so the PtP at the Yard has always appealed to me. But I think I may be springing for a Hog in the near future :D
 
Don't worry Brother Dog; a LOT of us started out the same way!:D And the addiction just gets worse over time!!!:eek::p
 
Got my first Yard Dog on the way-the Wardog--I had a mix up with my order so I'm recieving mine a little late but I am really looking forward to it. I really like the Dumpster Mutt too. As a matter of fact, I really like all Dogs. Welcome to Hogville!! Any ideas on what you'll go after first.........I said first because more than likely there will be another after that one and another after that one and......another ................and

Just as you've seen in the Dog realm, you can learn a lot from these Hogs.

I dont know what ill go for first. I dont have a big chopper yet. And wouldnt mind that. Im really diggin the new basic 4. It will probably have to be a chopper under 400 dollars though. Promised the wife id only by one this summer. And due to a rash of unforseen tragedies lately. My funds are limited and required elsewhere. I just hope i can figure something out for when the busse clan gets to anchorage
 
If you want a hog. Northern knives had a SAR6 and SHBA the other day. Both have been sitting in there for a few months you might be able to swing a deal.

Buuse chopper under $400? Just keep watching the Exchange, you should be able to score a Basic 9 or 11, or a Bushwhacker Mistress in that range. Just do some searches to educate yourself on the prices., and wait for your knife.
 
Welcome! Since you are in Anchorage, Alaska and Busse Combat is taking a trunk show there, I bet you'll be able to score a really nice chopper in your budget. :thumbup:
 
Welcome Brother, hope to see ya at the Trunk-Sale!!! Tundratrader said it also but check into Northern Knives now and again. They often will have a knife in there and you can see how it feels before buying on.
 
With the Alaska trip coming, I'd start selling stuff now. You probably won't see better prices or selection ever again.
 
I already told the Wife to prepare the credit card. No shipping and factory prices. I guarantee they go home empty!
