FNH FNP .45 Tactical???

I have the FNP-9, it is an outstanding shooter. The FNp45 Tac would be in my safe if it were approved for sale in Cali but it is not, looks like an outstanding pistol and I would get it if I could.

I know, that's pretty unheard of for that caliber, the retail is 1k i think, but i am sure you could get it for around 950 through a dealer if you wait, it has a stainless slide too, the case alone would be around $60, and the tritium sights 150ish aftermarket, and mags that come with it bring the price of just the gun at around 600-650, which isnt bad imo, a dude on youtube said it field strips easier than a glock.

I may trade my Kimber desert warrior. I like the threads:)

They're extremely easy to shoot--though I find that a hogue universal grip sleeve greatly improves the ergos of that boxy handle. I was consistently shooting ragged hole groups with it the first time I shot one at fifteen yards, and the gun didn't seem to care what ammo went through it. At 25, the gun is capable of doing better than I was doing with it. I don't care for the big, fat front sights that manufacturers like to put on modern pistols, as I find that my target being completely covered up tends to make it hard to hit, but that's a personal preference issue, and shouldn't bother those who favor a bullseye sight picture. Personally, I don't need one, as I prefer the USP Expert or Tactical in a similar-sized pistol, but the FN seems very well put together and rugged as hell.

Check out osprey suppressors, they are supposed to be good, the .45 supp is rectangular so it looks cool/strange but since it isn't circular, it doesn't get in the way of the sight picture, I called my ffl , they are out and so I think it's a get on the list thing unless gunbroker has some, I would like to buy us, but it's hard to beat fn and hk reliability for the price IMO

There are a few of those listed on Gunbroker. It would be nice to shoot, but personally I will stick with my Sig's...

The only thing for me is that I need a sa/da, I have an xdm da and can't shoot worth a crap with da only, I guess I need more practice, ammo is so expensive now

I have had a FNP-.45 for a while now. It's a beast of a handgun...
The sucker will eat anything you put in her,not ammo picky at all..
Muzzle rise is minimal compared to most other 45's as well...
It is a very rugged, well put together handgun....All she needs is optics
and a threaded barrel, and she would be perfect....

That being said....

I really like mine a lot.. BUT, I am trading her in for a FNP .45 TAC very
soon! Unless I can get hold of a threaded barrel and a slide from a TAC model....

Considering You could pick up a FNP .45 NIB for around $550.-
I don't understand why a threaded barrel and an Optic ready slide double the price of the gun....
Maybe there are other changes that I am not aware of?..

I think it's the whole kit, with mags, case and tritium sights with optics base plates that adds so much, plus every pistol nut is drooling over it, they could prob charge 200 more and sell a ton, how much are tritium sights now?

If you want the ultimate deployment package, search on gunbroker.com for this (includes the FNP-45 Tactical) "COLT 614 MG FNP-45 TACTICAL GEMTECH MPO EOTECH".

The opening price was 14,999.00, current bid is 19,000.00 with a buy it now of 25,999.00.

I would love to own that kit.....

I have the all black FNP45. I love it and it is a beast! I used to think it was a big gun but after owning it for a while it doesn't seem all that big for what you get. Even though th mags don't like wwb ammo my fnp has never had a single problem. it shoots as straight as I get get it to at 10 yards and just shy of my FiveSeven. I give that to me and how I handle the weight.

I would love to get the tactical but the busse boys keep my pockets tapped. Optics and a can on a FNP45 and you would be hard pressed to find a more bad a$$ .45 on the planet!

fyi, these are made in the USA

Great looking pistol. I had a Glock 21 but I traded it after shooting a Sig GSR. There is no comparison with handling and shot grouping compared to a 1911. Now I have two 1911s.

Another small factoid... :D

FN originated in the small city of Herstal, near Liège. The Fabrique Nationale d'Armes de Guerre (French for National Factory of Weapons of War) was established in 1889 to manufacture 150,000 Mauser Model 89 rifles ordered by the Belgian Government.[1] In 1897 the company entered into a long-lasting relationship with John Moses Browning, a well-known firearms designer.[1] FN was an important manufacturer of motor vehicles in Belgium.

OK..I'm done.... :o
