How do you tie this?

I know how to tie a monkey's fist, but The end is a loop, not a loose end like I end up with.

As you're tightening the whole thing down, feed the loose end back inside. I usually end up with two loose ends, and I do this:
Completely tuck in one of them, following the pattern of the know, so there is one loose end hanging out. Sometimes it's easier to cut it shorter, so you don't have to make a bunch of extra wraps to get it all in there.
Take the other (still hanging out) loose end (the only one left), and tie a teeny knot at the end. This will prevent it from slipping out once you've tucked it in.
Then, just slip the end with the little knot inside of the big monkey's fist knot as you tighten the whole thing down, leaving as much length hanging out to form a loop of the desired size.

Another way to do it:

After you finish the knot pull out some of the cord where you finished as if you were untying the knot, feed in the other end of the cord in its place, do this for several turns, when you tighten the knot finish in such a way that the ends will be hidden inside.

Here's some that I have made, If you can figure out how I made the one in three colors you'll have no trouble making the one with the loop:

Five turn, White

Four turn, Red-Green-Blue

Four turn Blue, tied on knife
