Fogs is excited to receive a Custom S grind Gyuto

From our own timos- timos-
I became aware of his work thru two Pass arounds he hosted and I participated in. His latest and the knife that convinced me I needed one of his knives was a S-ground Gyuto that you can see in the pass around sub forum.
I ordered the same S-ground Gyuto only larger.

This is the handle material I chose.

It is 2.5 inches at the heel and 9.5 inches in length. It,s a bit Takeda like to my eye.
I am Wayyyy excited to get it in hand !
 
It helps with food release, and weight savings. Probably other things I'm unaware of as well.
 
Received a update, the blade is almost done and the WA handle is next. Hopefully I will have it in hand in a week or so.

Enlarge the photo and have a good look at this Acia Burl. There is also a Mokume Ferrule.

She has a Photo Shoot scheduled for this coming Tuesday 😃 I dunno if that will include in action shots tho.
