Folder blade play,, any remedy?

Just got a ebay fresh quicksilver stockman and the main blade has play in ALL directions. Any ideas? Two other blades are fine and this knife is really unused. Handle is horn and turquoise. Any help would help?!

You da man! I decided to use the vice and wrapped a rubber glove around it. One good squeeze and its tight! My bargain knife purchase that started out bad is now a real bargain again. Thanks Dude!

Your welcome but remember, unless the vice actually peened that pin to lock the bolsters tight it will come loose again.

Think of a modern knife, the pivot bolt has a head on both sides to hold the liners together. A traditional has boltsers with a pin straight through. The bolsters are drilled for the pin and then slightly beveled out like a cone shape. You have to mush the pin to spread and fill into those cone areas. That is why peening is needed. But you don't want to bend the pin, just spread the ends to act as the modern bolt heads.

I could see where the pin was and tried to have it in the center of the squeeze. Ill watch it, may need a thumping.
