Folder blade thickness

I see most blades in folders are roughly .125 then they put some washers in to work a a friction surface and fill the gap. I know I've seen bearing in there too which I much prefer. I'm building a everyday folder and rhino killer so I want a meaty blade what thickness is reasonable>
