If you do not oppose I'm going to show some work of two friends of mine Javi and Marcial (VdS) that I particularly enjoy.

Folder awarded at the fair in Nova Metropolis in Brazil as Best Damascus.

The bolsters shows a head of a dragon and on the blade continues the animal's body.

Overall Lenght 267 mm
Blade 122 mm (4,8" aprox) ( 15n20, 1095 y 5160 ), cocobolo handle scales.

Very impressive.
The grain of wood and blade pattern are very well integrated.

Love it when the parts of the knife compliments each other. Excellent execution ! :thumbup:
 
I had the chance to play with this folder on the Nova Show where it was awarded best damascus.

It is one BIG AND MEAN folder. Javier and Marcial are one fine example of imagination meets experience. Both very educated and polite men, I found our conversation very amusing. It helped me a lot to understand the makers from Argentina and their custom knives market.

Other than that, those guys are the kind of people who you´d buy knives from, but mostly you´d love to share a beer and becoming friends with! :thumbup:

I love the Damascus pattern on that. I really like the whole knife. Thanks for sharing that with us.
