Does anyone know the specific carry laws for folders in city limits?

Legal types?
Blade length?
Anything else I should know about??

I had a look at some of those law sites and couldn't find a thing.

Carry within a specific jurisdiction is usually controlled by that jusrisdiction. So, if you wanted to know about what the law is in, sa, Seattle, you should look up Seattle, Washington, or whatever county Seattle is in. The same would apply to any other municipality. The states don't generally have carry laws that apply to the municipalities unless they are such laws as "Shall Issue CCW" laws that were intended to establish a state-wide system.

I'd check out the local jurisdictions in the sources that Shootist provided and then look 'em up on a websearch site. That's what I do when I need to check one.

Look for the Seattle Municipal Code and go to dangerous weapons. IIR, blade length in Seattle is under 3 1/2". All the ones I'm carrying have been through the Court House Security Check, and all measure 3". King County, however, has a different length limit, which I think is 3 3/4"... but, while Seattle is in King County, if you are in the city limits, the length legal in the county is illegal in the city. Also note that it is illegal to carry any sized fixed blade in Seattle, but the counties each have different restrictions which range up to 4" for legal EDC, with the exception being tools used for a job or for blades carried while hiking/camping or for other recreational purposes.
