I purchased a bag of a new folder part at the Lonestar show wanting to have the latest! These things are the coolest idea to come across my work bench in a long time. Several times in the past I have fractured some really expensive handle scales while peening the pins. This hardware really solves this problem and I'm sure we all have had the experience of throwing a piece of ivory or mammoth in the trash. I used the bushing in the center pin placement and threaded the side plates and use some of the screws there too, I then spun the heads so they look like pins and the finish is perfect. If I had to say one bad thing about these screws or bushings is they are not inexpensive it adds a buck or two tho the cost of the knife, (but could have saved $100 plus in handle material). I would like to see the head height on the screws just a bit longer but I can live with what they are. I bought the screws in brass and stainless, the bushings come in only stainless but are in three lengths .090, .115 and .400 to cover single blade and multi blade configurations If only they made screws in nickel-silver!
