In your opinion, what company offers the best clips on their knives?
I personally like Spyderco's wire clips.
By the way, I'm new here guys. Already addicted to the forum! Looking forward to talking knives with you all.
I like the clip on the Spyderco Gayle Bradley, and Benchmade's parkerized split arrow clips. Kershaw is also great for offering their clips with parkerization standard (you have to get the split arrow from BM separately).
Out of the folders I have owned, the painted black pocket clips from Blackhawk (MOD) are my favorite as they can be taped up, are not too tight or loose making it easy to draw the folder from my pocket.
i also like the emerson clips, good retention but won't tear up your pockets.
i think the sebenza clip is the best design. the extra notch creates another layer of retention.
not a fan of low rider clips or short clips. the clip on the kershaw volt, which is both short and low rider, drives me nuts. especially since i love the design of the knife, overall.
Spyderco wire clips. The plain-looking symmetrical clips on some Kershaws. I like the clip on my CRKT M14, I just wish it was reversible. I like the clips on Byrd knives.
I was told by a young security guy that I had to leave an Indian Casino last week because he saw my clip. At the front door I ask another security guy an older one if I could speak to a manager. The manager had a heart to heart talk with the young security guy, matter of fact I didn't see the kid the rest of the evening. Maybe a camo clip is better some times? - Tom
The spyderco wire clip hands down for me. I wish spyderco would come out with a Military with carbon fiber scales and a wire clip, I don't care what steel they use.
love the spyderco wire clip. also like the clip on the kershaw OD1 (same as the ones on ZT's i believe) and love the deep carry clip on my buck vantage pro.
