I keep thinking about that Busse Folder, but I needed something now. Got an Al Mar SERE 2000. Nice knife, but I'd say at the limit for "pocketability." So that's my thought for today.

Make the Busse folder no larger or heavier than the SERE 2000. Keep it comfortable to the pocket, and hopefully no thicker than the SERE2K. I know Jerry can't settle for a mere 5/32" blade. Maybe he can hold himself to 3/16" and make up the difference with thinner scales.

My SERE 2000 locks very well, and feels like a one piece knife after it locks. Of course it's new, so I don't know how long that will last. But there's the goal for nuclear tough Busse: After years of hard use, it will feel just like a fixed blade knife whenever it's locked open.

I bought a red anodized Gigand Titan for my daughter's boyfriend. He sometimes misplaces things. Any chance of the Busse Folder being offered with a choice of the usual low visibility micarta or something brightly colored?

What else can I think of? Easy to operate with one hand, gloves or no. Lanyard hole?

I know it's traditional for a Busse to be "sterile," but personalization is sometimes popular with personal folders. And this is sure to be a folder I'd REALLY hate to mislay. How about offering laser etched personalization as an option???

I could go for numbers, even though I'm more user than collector. I was thinking of the personalization partly because it would make the knife harder to lose, and partly because I think that constantly-in-the-pocket folder is something a lot of people would like to personalize. Some will want high visibility, and some will prefer the usual "low profile" colors.

I'm sure a lanyard hole will be included. Maybe even an trick horizontal sheath that opens the knife as you draw it out.

You cigar afficionadoes may want a version with a hole through the handles, so it can shear cigar tips as it is closed.

Is anyone who cuts rope or nylon webbing thinking about partial serrations?
