Is there gonna be one? I did a search and couldn't find anything saying yes or no. It's been years since the possibilty was introduced. I'm not complaining. I just wanna know what you guys know. Is it gonna be another two years. Should I just buy a Strider AR and get over it? The only folder I can see being the ultimate folder is a Busse. But man... If I keep waiting nothins gonna get cut in the here and now. Guys... is it right around the corner or will I finish my Master's before this thing comes to light?

Two weeks.

. . . two hypothetical, BUSSE COMBAT weeks.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm not so sure even the mighty Two Weeks of Busse could fit the timeline for the Folder.

It's a paradox, really.

Two Weeks is the catch-all time frame for Busse, and yet the Folder is the holy grail that the knights (or hogs, if you wish to speak in less metaphorical terms) always look for and yet can't quite grasp. Two Weeks is flexible and mysterious, and yet the folder's mystery is beyond that which we mere onlookers into the Busse universe can comprehend. Is Two Weeks even valid for something which transcends even that which the mightiest OINKers understand (or will at least admit to)? There are those who would claim to understand the Two Weeks phenomenon, and yet no one can fathom knowledge about the folder.

In short: most of us don't have a clue. Those who have been given a glimmer of information are witholding all of it. However, my gut instict is that The Folder is a long way off. Just a little bit longer than Two Weeks away, insofar as that is possible.

Get yourself an AR, you wont' be disappointed, and when the Busse comes out in two weeks, swap out the AR with it.....

Only the Shadow knows! So track him down and beat the info out of him! :D I think faction is accurate, that or fraction. We can only guess and hope that it is but two weeks away. I personally am going to wait for it and I wil not buy another makers folder until it comes out. I don't care if that is a two week wait or two year wait.

I don't think the Strider folders look beefy and bomb-proof enough to be compared to what would probably be a Busse folder.

However, the Extrema Ratio folders do! Get one of those instead.

Than you've never owned a Strider folder...I have a New SNG and a an AR and either of them by far and away are the strongest locking folders of their type I've ever handled(And yes I have a CRK Sebenza)...You would not be dissapointed with either of them...I couldn't hold out on the Busse folder...Don't get me wrong I'm gettin one when it does come out, but I'm NOT sellin my Strider folders when I get it...

I equate the Busse folder with thnigs like: Unicorns, ghosts, Aliens, The Mothman...Things that I'll prolly, never see, wouldn't belive if I did...So I just dismass it as a myth...:( :D ;)

Veritas,

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the Strider folders are not tough. They are obviously among the toughest folders out there. They just don't look quite chunky enough to be equated with a Busse.

Now when I saw the specs of the Extrema Ratios, and some photos, I was like, "Wow." Now those are Busse-like in their dimensions and heft.

I too eagerly await the Busse folder and should see one in about two weeks. ;) :p.

I own A Sebenza, A Strider GB, and a Buck Strider. I handled one of the Extrema Ratio Folders at the Blade Show and it did not compare. It was OK but nothing earth shaking. The photos may be overstating the fact. They seemed to be OK knives but not on par with the Strider or even the Buck/Strider IMO. Just my two cents. The warranty seemed to be like many others original owner, materials- workmanship, blah..blah..

I understand the whole warranty isue with manufacturers and it has been discussed ad nauseum here on the the forums. But for my money an extreme hard use knife comes with a lifetime "don't ask don't tell" warranty.

Now I am hoping that the Busse folder sets a new standard for toughness in the folding knife arena. I don't know if I will sell all my other folders but I will buy a few of Jerry's. :D

I for one hope the Busse folder IS NOT as 'chunky' as say a Strider AR. Ive owned an AR and it is one hell of a knife, and I may purchase another when the opportunity rises, but as far as being an EDC folder, it is not for me. Just a little too bulky for me to carry all day/every day inside a pocket. I know, I know, I could carry it inside a sheath right? Well yes, but why carry a folder in a sheath when I can carry my Busse AD in a sheath instead. For me the whole purpose of a folder is to eliminate needing a sheath, and after all, when it comes down to it, a fixed blade beats out a folder in the safety and maintenance department every time.

When I want the ease-of-carry of a folder, I turn to the Sebenza. Rather small or large, either carries inside a pocket well, and they are about as dependable as a folder can get. I'm really hoping Busse leans more toward the SnG/Sebenza size knives, and not so much the AR.

OMG R.Markus that pic just about made me choke to death on my Mt. Dew I was laughing so hard. :) It's like a folding MOAB.

Ugghh gentlemen we already have the folder and it has
the strongest lock known to man, Jerry made it that
way. CAN ANYONE SAY ACTIVE DUTY!!!!!!:D :p Just try
and break the lock on that thing I dare Ya!:D :p Oh
and by the I got mine in two weeks!! :p
