There's 4 of us who want to get a gift for a friend who helped us pass first semester.
I know he's looking for a folder.
As we don't want to let him get himself something as small as Micro Recon 1 (because we know he's only considering it because of the price), we talked him out of buying a knife as he's tight with money (to buy us some time).
We are looking at:
Large Voyager (Aus10A Clip Point version)
Spyderco Tenacious (8Cr13MoV version)
These 2 are the same price currently.
We also looked at Working Man but it got sold out and we don't want to wait for a very long time to get him something, as we want to give it to him next time we see him at the university (as that's possibly last time we'll all be together till April or even longer).
Other idea was Ontario Rat 2 in D2 or AUS8, but that'd be buying a liner lock knife to a person known to abuse his knives and tools (IDK how much he'd abuse this knife though, as he has a small fixed blade he likes to carry).
He already bent PMIII I got him for Christmas, so that gives you an idea what we are dealing with.
I'm honestly worried he'll hurt himself with a folder, and I'd hate myself if he got injured by a knife I got him (other 3 aren't knife people, so I feel personally responsible). I also already told him that I think he should stick with fixed blades.
