I am a nubie knife maker and noticed your forum.
I have this Schrade folder I bought back somewhere in the early 80's.
I think it might have cut a piece of cheese once. It has sat in the case in a drawer for all of its life. It has a number on the bolster C 060. It has a little tarnish on the bolster from sitting in the case but it is very minimal, basicaly mint as it has never been used.
Any ideas of its value or potential re sale.
Since I have not used it in this many years not likely I ever will so was thinking it might as well go. Any info would be a great help.
Sorry about the photo I could answer any questions about the knife. I know the scales are not real schrimshaw, but a man made material. It had a brass blade lock on the inside, you can see it in the photo where the bolster meets the scales, and a spring on the topside which you can kinda see with the blade in the position it is in, I do not know the right terms.

That's part of the American Indian Series.It's the Kachina from 1983.With box and papers 120. without about 70.It all depends on what someone wants to pay.Arnold

Your knife is the third design of six from a Schrade limited edition Tribute to Native Americans Series begun in 1981 and finished in 1986. The pattern of the knife is 500SC, and this 1983 issue was the KD1 "Kachina Doll". All of the others were the 507SC pattern, I think. One more knife was made in 1983, though not an official part of the series, for Montgomery Wards which is now considered by collectors to be an essential issue to complete the series. If this one is counted, the series includes seven knives of different designs.
