Hey everybody!

I have been getting a ton of emails about the folder and will get to everyone very soon. I will answer everyone individually but look out for an announcement here within a few days.

Right now I am sick and behind... I just got back yesterday from TX but the knives are getting closer to being made! I am getting some rest and waiting on some important packages. More soon!

It always takes me a day or to to settle in after a vacation.Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks! I hate being sick... I have the flu I am sure. I'm getting some rest and drinking vitamin c drank.

He's back !
:D And soon to be in full force!

You know it!

While I was in TX I lined up a small business loan and bought a mill, horizontal grinder, blast cab and am getting a compressor. It is really a dream come true and the folders are going to be made to a very high level of precision because of this.

I brought the book you gave me and have been studying hard in anticipation of getting the mill! Thanks again for all the help.

I'll have to send you some HSS end mills to practice with. R8 collet? If it is, what's the size of your largest and smallest collet?

:D R8 collet and I'll get right back to you on the collet sizes. I just looked and the site where I bought it from just changed and I can not check.

I am pretty sure 1/8" to 5/8" but am not sure about a 3/4" collet. The site confuses me today, lol but I am sick as a dog at the moment.

Don't forget about the MIT instructional videos as well. Great for all the basics.

They have been really good and I need to watch more now that I have the bandwidth. The first video where he shows how to drill a perfect hole is the best! I hope everyone watches it at least to that point... that is how I will be doing the folders.

Spot my hole, center the mill with a hole/edge finder, drill with a centering bit to keep the hole squared up, drill under sized hole, ream to .005", lap to perfection.

I love this stuff! lol when I started I just drilled the hole...
