I figured I would appeal to your good nature and ask if we have any more details on the RAT folder concept. Is it even a concept? Or is it definite? Are we sticking with 1095 steel? ......will you feed the fire here :)

I have never been a big fan of fixed blades, until buying every single RAT I could find....but I would love to have another company to buy folders from, other than spyderco; which is 99% of my folding collection.

Great avatar! I could have used that warning back in the 80s! :D

I would love to see a new RAT Folder. I never purchased the one from Ontario although I was tempted to. I think the best folders I have ever owned were probably... The Al Mar SERE 2000, the original Emerson 1998 Commander (used to have two of them!), a regular, plain and large Chris Reeve Sebenza and I am rather fond of the Ritter BM Mini-RSK and I'm looking for the larger RSK Mk1.

If they could make something as tough as these knives are, well, here we go again getting stuff!

I hope more details will come to light on the folder in the near future...I love the BladeTech Professional hunter model....my favorite folder...I will dismiss my Spyderco military to own another Blade tech PH model

If RAT introduces a frame lock with a 3.5"-4" blade I'm all over it! My favorite folder is my SRKW Rat Trap and my only complaint is it's liner lock. Oh how I wish it was a frame lock. A large Sebbie would be right up my alley but I don't feel like shelling out the money for one.

I know I would like to see RAT stick with the same blade style for their folder as they use on their fixed blades. I know it would have to be slimmer, but the RAT drop point is what makes the knife in my opinion.

I agree. I think it should be modeled directly from the fixed blade line up....just in a sleeker smaller folding concept. Preferably a framelock.

I will however, buy it no matter what the folder is anyway. If it was a sesame street rat folder, I'd still buy it
